As I am sure you know, today is the sixth anniversary of the horrible events that occurred on September 11th, 2001.

As Christians, we sometimes are tempted to act as if we have explanations for all manners of pain, suffering and evil.

But, events like those that occurred on this infamous day force us to admit that none of us (even those of Faith) can truly comprehend the scope and magnitude of such things. At best, we see the world “through a glass,darkly.”

Sometimes, we are forced to just admit that we live in a “Mad World.”

Fortunately, the very definition of “faith” is that we have to trust in something that we can’t actually see. We have to know that, despite obvious evidence to the contrary (horrible destruction, pain, suffering, evil)…God is in control and cares and will lead us to a better world (here and in eternity).

In that spirit, I offer two videos.

The first expresses our inability to process ultimate pain, suffering and evil; sometimes we just have to admit…we live in a “mad world.”

The second expresses what God has to say to us when we are dealing with this fact…he is in control and “all things” will work to His glory,ultimately.
